Every case connected. Everyone on the same page.
Case management for independent funeral homes. Bring the details, paperwork, family and finances together, so your team can get on with the work that matters.
One price per firm. Every member of staff included.
The whole case. A clearer day.
From the first call to the final account, the same record stays with you. Details entered once, paperwork kept together, and a shared view of what needs doing next.
The first call
Start with the person and the people around them. Keep case details, family contacts and next steps together from the beginning.
The arrangements
Plan the service, prepare the paperwork and collect signatures. Your colleagues work from the same case record.
The final account
See what has been paid and what is still outstanding, with documents and the family's ledger held against the case.
A link for the family
- Information and photographs in one place
- Documents to review and sign
- Online payment, linked to the case
A little less to manage. For the family, too.
One private link brings the family's side of the arrangements together. They can send information and photographs, review documents, sign and pay, without creating an account.

One case record, from first call to final account.
The everyday essentials and the details behind them. Open a topic to see how Cortege supports the work.
The case record
One record per decedent, first call to final disposition. The informant is held separately from the next of kin, because the person who supplies the vital statistics is often neither the decision-maker nor the payer.
Vital statistics
The state-mandated data set for the death certificate, captured as structured fields. Type them once and the same facts fill every form that needs them.
Services and the calendar
Visitations, services and committals sit on the case and on a shared calendar, so the whole firm can see what is happening this week and who is covering it.
Price list and contract
Your General Price List, maintained once. The Statement of Goods and Services is itemised from it, as the Funeral Rule requires.
Signed without a second trip
The family signs the statement from a link, or across the desk from you. Either way the certificate records which it was, and there is no charge per signature.
The family's ledger
Cash, check, card, ACH, deposits, refunds and write-offs recorded against the case, with the balance always current. Entirely separate from your own subscription.
A link for the family
One expiring link the family can use to supply the vital statistics, send photographs, read the paperwork, sign it and pay. There is no account to create, and your cost stays hidden from them.
Obituaries, on the site you already have
Every notice gets a hosted page with a durable link, and your firm gets its own feed and an embeddable script for the website you already have.
Chapels and locations
Several locations under one firm, on one account. Staff are scoped to the chapels they actually work, and every case belongs to the branch handling it.
Five roles, not two
Owner, manager, funeral director, arranger and administrative staff. Administrative staff can work a case and produce paperwork without ever seeing what the family owes.
Who did what
Every change to a case, contact, payment or document is recorded with the person and the time. The trail records which fields changed, and stores none of the values.
Built for regulated records
Social security numbers and cause of death are treated as regulated from the first line of schema. Two-factor authentication for the whole firm is one switch, and the database itself enforces retention, so a case cannot be hard-deleted.
A new system. A familiar set of records.
Whether you are exporting from an existing system or working from paper, we do the loading with you: cases, families, contracts and payments, checked against your own totals before anything goes live. You will not re-type years of records.

A straightforward way to work together.
Everyone gets a login
Directors, arrangers, administrative staff, the person who only comes in at weekends. Adding a colleague leaves the bill where it was.
Nothing metered
No charge per case, per user or per document produced. You pay the number you agreed.
Your records are yours
Produce a complete copy yourself, from Settings, whenever you want one: cases, contracts, payments and every document, in open formats, at no charge. Ask us instead and we send it within three business days. That holds on the day you leave too.
