Export or post the accounting journal

Open Settings → Finances → Accounting with the appropriate financial access. Agree the reporting period and account mapping with the firm's bookkeeper.

Download a journal

  1. Set From and To. Both dates are included.
  2. Select Show this period.
  3. Review the period and any scope warning.
  4. Select CSV in the export controls.
  5. Check the file before importing it into the accounting system.

If you are restricted to locations, the file covers those locations only. If the app refuses an unbalanced journal, send support the period dates; do not adjust case entries merely to force the export.

Connect QuickBooks

This option requires QuickBooks to be configured for the installation.

  1. Select Connect QuickBooks and authorise the intended company.
  2. Check the company name on return. A sandbox company is not the firm's live books.
  3. Under Account mapping, map all five accounts. Not set means a category still needs an account.
  4. Select Save mapping.

Ask the bookkeeper to check the mapping before posting.

Post and review

  1. Select the intended period.
  2. Select Post this period.
  3. Read the posted, already-present and failed counts.
  4. Review Posting history and reconcile with QuickBooks.

Previously posted entries are skipped. Investigate failures before retrying. Staff restricted to some locations cannot post a partial firm's period through this control.

Disconnect stops future posting; entries already in QuickBooks remain. If QuickBooks is unavailable, use the journal download workflow.
